“As a Finance Intern for Risewell Homes, I had the opportunity to work on weekly financial reporting, data analysis, marketing audits, purchasing operations, and participate in weekly office-wide meetings which allowed me to develop both technical and professional skills. The experience strengthened my Excel, analytical, and communication skills while giving me a well-rounded understanding of how different departments work together to support the company's success. I am so grateful that this internship gave me a deeper understanding of the homebuilding industry and prepared me for future opportunities in finance and operations.”

“During my internship I had the amazing opportunity to work in the Land Acquisition Department within the Southern California Division of Risewell Homes. I worked with such a knowledgeable team that became my mentors over the past eight weeks. I learned how to create CMA's and understand the Proforma. I also sat in on meetings and completed site visits to gain exposure to the industry. I learned so much about the homebuilding industry and even though Land Acquisition is at the beginning of the process, I watched how our efforts impacted the trajectory of the project and how these homes become the foundation for many communities to grow.”

Over the summer I got to work on real projects, like a panelization research deck I presented to the Risewell team, not just busy work.
